A Tradesman’s Skill.
A Designer’s Eye.

My Story

I’ve always had one foot in design and the other in construction. For 30 years I worked in marketing as an art director, where an eye for detail helped brands launch and grow. Along the way I kept fixing things, building things, and figuring out how they work. Eventually I realized the fixing was what I was best at, so I made it my full-time work.

Now I bring the same attention to your home. I notice what’s out of level, what’s rough, and what will bug you a month from now, and I deal with it before I call a job done. I like taking a job from the first look to the last cleanup and knowing you’ll enjoy the result.

My family and I live in Kirkwood—we love the neighborhood and our neighbors, and that’s who I’m working for.

My Mission

ESB Handyman Co. was founded on one principle: leave things in better repair than I found them. That mission extends beyond the job site.

I offer Aging in Place modifications — grab bars, ramps, and stairlifts — to help elderly homeowners stay safely and comfortably in the homes they love. I’m also pursuing my Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) credential to formalize that expertise.

Sustainability

Choosing Better Materials

When the option exists and it fits the job, I choose environmentally friendly building supplies — low-VOC paints, sustainably sourced lumber, and similar alternatives.

Giving Old Fixtures New Life

Usable fixtures I pull during a job — doors, cabinets, hardware, appliances — go to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore instead of the dumpster whenever possible, supporting affordable housing in the community.

Recycling Where I Can

I sort scrap metal, cardboard, and other recyclable job-site debris for recycling rather than sending it straight to the landfill.
